About Me

I grew up just north of Berkeley, California. In 2005 I moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly State University as a Software Engineering major. During my enrollment at Cal Poly, I worked as a developer on Cal Poly's satellite research project, PolySat.

While working at PolySat, I wrote ground station software that communicated with Cal Poly's set of in-orbit satellites and embedded software for Cal Poly's CP6 satellite. CP6 was launched into space in May of 2009.

Though I answered the interview question, “What are your favorite software programs?” with “Linux, bash and vim”, I was offered an internship at Microsoft. In the summer of 2008, I worked as a product manager on the SharePoint team in Redmond, Washington.

For most of 2010 I worked with my good friend David Cuddeback as a UX designer and Ruby on Rails developer, focusing on front-end development and UX design on a web app that would help software teams perform code reviews. In November of 2010 I began working as a UX designer for MINDBODY — making me their first UX designer.

If you're ever looking for me when I'm away from the computer, I am most likely biking around town (San Luis Obispo, CA), spending time outdoors, or drawing sketches that resemble Batman on pieces of scrap paper.
